In My Mailbox #41

I'm STILL on the sickly side which is why I haven't been posting many things or commenting. I cannot concentrate while on cold medicine. This funk needs to get out of my system ASAP especially since I have many reviews to write and other stuff to post.

Without further ado, here's what I got this week:

For Review:
Like Mandarin by Kristin Hubbard (Teen Book Scene)
Trapped by Michael Northrop (Around the World Tours)
Vixen by Jillian Larkin (Star Book Tours)
All You Get Is Me by Yvonne Prinz (Publisher)

Paperback Swap:
Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott
The Mediator by Meg Cabot

Bought:
Fishbowl by Sarah Mlynowski
Milkrun by Sarah Mlynowski
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

Something funny...okay, maybe not funny but definitely a WTF?! moment happened to me when Like Mandarin came in the mail. Apparently it survived some sort of weird fire because this is how it showed up at my house:

Holy shit!! Damn I would be pissed if I was you, I had a moment where two of my freaking packages were ripped open I was fuming, and contemplated gone to the post office and giving them a piece of my mind, The pops calmed me down, and I was like. My Books but you don't mess with my books! LOL :D

Sorry you're feeling sick, hope you're on the mend soon! And jealous that you got Trapped and Like Mandarin, although I'd be so angry if it showed up in that condition!

Like Mandarin and All You Get Is Me both sound great, and like you I'm looking forward to Vixen! I also have Trapped waiting - think I'll give in and read that one next week.

I can't believe your book suffered some strange kind of burning in the mail! How weird and totally random. This could only happen to you :P

Wow, I wonder what exactly happened to Like Mandarin. That's just so odd. Anyhow, All You Got Is Me looks great so I'll be looking forward to seeing your review for it. Happy reading, and I hope you feel better soon! :)

That is what happens when a package gets stuck in the machine at the post office, they put it through a machine to scan the address and sort it to the correct trucks. When It gets stuck like that the next package is trying to push it through the machine and it overloads and heats up, and yes has a small fire. I would not be surprised if somebody else's package did not get damaged as well

AAAAAAHHHH!!!
Okay actually Kari emailed me and told me about LIKE MANDARIN en fuego. Are all the words intact? Because you could be missing a "jackalope" or a "wildwinds" and it would change the WHOLE STORY... :)

And what a bummer about Like Mandarin! You have to admit, though, it makes for an interesting blog post! :)

I bought Milkrun and Fishbowl as well! They had a deal going on...somewhere, can't recall at the moment. And I couldn't deny the price, the gorgeous covers or Sarah Mlynowski!

Hope you feel better!
