I promise, the next post you see after this one will be a review!
But in the meantime I noticed how much my bookcase is overflowing. While I did donate some books to the library, there are still some that I could do without. So I joined both sites and I'm already sending out a couple books on Mooch...but which site does everyone like better? Why do you like that site better? I know on PBS you can't post ARCs except for on the forum, but what about Bookmooch? As you can tell, I'm super new to this sort of thing.
If anyone wants to add me, my screen name on both sites is: sammyjones57

I don't know if it's just my interests but I haven't had any luck with Bookmooch. I have credits but haven't been able to get a single book yet.
I have had better luck with Paperbackswap. I like that if a book on your wishlist comes in they hold it for you for a couple days. Every time a book on my wishlist came in on Bookmooch it was gone when i clicked on the link.
I actually don't use either. I just know some friends who will trade with me and we email back and forth lists of books that we are willing to trade. I like that better because I know the people I am trading with. =]
I have never used PBS basically because I got so interested in Bookmooch and now I have 100+ point so it's sort of too late to turn back. I also thought it would be confusing to list on both sites. I really like bookmooch, but it's probably because I am used to it. I made friends on BM fast and now they reserve books for me when they are on my wishlist or if it's something they know I will like. As far as ARCs go you just need to list in the condition notes that it is an ARC copy. Most people don't mind if it's a book they really want to read.
While Paperback Swap is prettier and more user friendly I get more requests from BookMooch.
You can list ARC's on bookmooch - I didn't know you couldn't on PBS but I like Book Mooch better in every way except that on PBS when it's your turn on the wishlist you get it- but i hate the wait for it.
Thanks for the input guys!!

I use bookmooch which you can post arc's on! But that's just me.
I use PBS, but am thinking about trying bookmooch. Just haven't gtten around to it yet.
I don't use either. I prefer to use BookCrossing.com. This way I release the books into the world without being tempted to "redeem" points. Hahah the only problem is I now go to BookCrossing meetup with friends and we swap books (thus I end up with even more books sometimes).
I have accounts at both. More books come to me from PBS because they have so many more books available to choose from. Bookmooch is nice when you have a book that doesn't meet PBS standards (water damage, underlining, etc.) because you can still list it on bookmooch with a condition note. I like them both. There are pros and cons to each.
