Hmm...if I ever ran into a vampire/werewolf, I would probably do the cliche I-don't-believe-you-act, which would probably result in me getting eaten...I guess I wouldn't make it very far in a horror movie.

What would I do? Besides have a fatal heart attack, you mean??!! Hmmm ... well, assuming I was not lucky enough to suffer a fatal heart attack lol, if it was a werewolf I'd know there was no way to outrun it so I would start reading War & Peace and try to bore it to death.
For a vampire, if it was a hot male vampire ... :P But, ANYway I would try to talk my way out of imminent death (and probably bore THAT one to death, also lol)

If there are no trees, pray to whatever god that's listening that they were right when they said I was a shaman. If it were a vampire, um, I'd be pretty screwed because no holy relics would world. 3. Deny that I ever poked him.
4. If I was still alive by this point I’d tell him he just startled me and I wasn’t REALLY scared (while ‘stealthily’ creating distance’ between us)
5. Again If I was still alive by this point I’d ask him if he was going to give up hunting/killing people, since his passionate and lusty love for me has brought out his human side. Hopefully he’ll be amused enough that he’ll let me go!!
6. Ask him if he really sparkles in the sun, or if he just turns into ashes.
7. Insist that he spills his tragic life story and yell at him and complain if it isn’t tragic enough.
8. Ask for permission to poke him, when he’s says no, do it anyway, then start crying when he lectures/yells at me, and scream at him “EVERYBODY MAKES MISTAKES!! GOD!!!!”, then start sobbing and hiccupping uncontrollably.

If I ever came face to face with a vampire or werewolf... It would depend on if it was a nice or evil vampire or werewolf. For a nice one, I would most likely latch onto them and ask an endless amount of questions about the common myths surrounding them. And if it was an evil one, then I would scream my head off while running away.
