ReplyDeleteI think you should be reading "Thirteen Reasons Why" by Jay Asher. The book is incredible moving and profounding heart wreching. The book teaches you about the evil of rumors and the destruction and chaos that comes with following them. How our actions and words have the power to completely affect the lives of others. Even more so the lack of action and words spoken from lies. The book teaches it's readers to remember that each of us has the power to influence the lives of those around us, stranger and friend alike, and we must use that power wisely. How important it is to listen without judgment and accept others as they are.
ReplyDeleteSynopsis to the book: Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker–his classmate and crush–who committed suicide two weeks earlier.
On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.
